Terms and Conditions for Pristine Garment Care
Welcome to Pristine Garment Care. These Terms and Conditions govern your use of our services, including dry cleaning, laundry, stain removal, garment restoration, alterations, repairs, wedding dress cleaning and preservation, and commercial linen cleaning, as well as collection and delivery services. By accessing or using our services, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions in full. If you disagree with any part of these terms, please do not use our services.
1. Service Agreement
Pristine Garment Care agrees to provide dry cleaning and laundry services as requested by the customer, subject to these terms. We exercise utmost care in cleaning and processing garments entrusted to us and use processes that are best suited to the nature and conditions of each garment.
2. Garment Care and Limitations of Liability
- Care Labels: We follow the care instructions on the garment label. If a care label is missing or illegible, or if you request a cleaning method contrary to the care label, you acknowledge and accept the associated risks.
- Pre-existing Conditions: We are not responsible for clothing that shrinks, stretches, fades, or otherwise changes due to latent defects, unstable dyes, or pre-existing conditions not apparent before cleaning. This includes issues with beads, sequins, buttons, belts, or other embellishments.
- Stain Removal: While we employ advanced stain removal techniques, complete stain removal cannot be guaranteed. Some stains may be permanent or require processes that could damage the fabric. We will inform you if we believe a stain cannot be removed without risking damage.
- Lost or Damaged Items: In the rare event of damage or loss, our liability for any garment is limited to a maximum of ten (10) times the charge for cleaning that item, regardless of brand or condition. This limitation is in accordance with industry standards and the textile industry's guidelines. Claims must be made within 48 hours of garment return.
- Personal Items: Customers are advised to check all garments for personal items (e.g., pens, money, jewellery) prior to submission. Pristine Garment Care accepts no responsibility for items left in garments.
3. Pricing and Payment
Our prices for services are clearly displayed or provided upon request. Payment is due upon collection or delivery of items unless a prior commercial agreement is in place. We accept various payment methods. Non-payment may result in delayed return of garments.
4. Collection and Delivery Services
- Scheduling: Collection and delivery times are estimates and may be subject to change due to unforeseen circumstances. We will endeavor to communicate any significant delays.
- Uncollected Items: Items left uncollected for more than 90 days after cleaning may be disposed of or donated. We will attempt to contact you before taking such action.
5. Wedding Dress Cleaning and Preservation
Wedding dresses are handled with extreme care. Given the delicate nature and often intricate embellishments of wedding dresses, we conduct a thorough inspection and discuss any potential risks or limitations with you before processing. Preservation services include appropriate packaging to help maintain the garment's condition over time.
6. Commercial Linen Cleaning
For hotels, restaurants, and other commercial clients, services are provided under specific contractual agreements which will outline terms regarding volume, frequency, pricing, and specific care instructions for large quantities of linen.
7. Alterations and Repairs
All alterations and repairs are performed based on the specific instructions provided by the customer. It is the customer's responsibility to clearly communicate their requirements. Once an alteration or repair is commenced, changes may not be possible, or may incur additional charges.
8. Customer Conduct
We expect respectful and courteous behaviour from all customers. Any abusive or inappropriate conduct towards our staff or on our premises will not be tolerated and may result in refusal of service.
9. Governing Law
These Terms and Conditions are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the United Kingdom. Any disputes relating to these terms and conditions will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of the United Kingdom.
10. Changes to Terms
Pristine Garment Care reserves the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. Any changes will be effective immediately upon posting on our site or notification to you. Your continued use of our services after any such modification constitutes your acceptance of the revised terms.
